Yew, Palladium leaf and Shellgold, 120x75cm

An altar table made from local yew for a Priory in Glastonbury, Sommerset. Around the edge are inscribed the names of twelve archangels, the central rose, carved by Aline Marion, is a variation of the Tudor rose.

The centre is carved in lime and painted with real palladium and gold. The rays are gilded with palladium leaf

Lettering and wood inlay around the edge of the table

The table top is assembled from 24 pieces of wood
